I’d like to compliment Likho, a cashier at Checkers Hyper in Fairbridge Mall, Brackenfell.
I recently moved to Brackenfell from Zeekoevlei in the southern suburbs. I felt very “homesick” not knowing the northern suburbs at all and missing my family.
Checkers Plumstead was my shop and then I went to Checkers in Fairbridge for the first time, feeling low. I got to the till and this guy was so friendly, making jokes and making me feel somewhat accepted into a “new”. I left the shop feeling better than when I entered.
Every time I go to this Checkers I’d specifically look for him. Saturday, at a family function, I was sharing this story with friends and family.
Today I once again got that joyous laughing and jokey interaction with Likho. I would love for Checkers to acknowledge this young man. He’s not just a staff member, or cashier or worker, for him to make me, a customer feel so uplifted and happy in a time I really needed it.
He’s going way over what’s expected of him. I told him today that he is an asset to the company. I pray that God bless him abundantly and grant him success and a bright future in Jesus name.
