A 26-year-old man was shot during an armed robbery at a garage in Northpine on Thursday.
According to provincial police spokesperson Sergeant Noloyiso Rwexana says at 01:10 today unidentified suspects entered the garage in Northpine Drive armed with firearms and knives.
She says they entered the store and threatened staff, while taking an undisclosed amount of money, cigarettes and a silver Volkswagen Polo.
She says they fled the scene in a Chevrolet and shot a 26-year-old man.
No arrests have been made as yet and in addition to the armed robbery, police are investigating the attempted murder of the man.
