Parts of the N1 will be closed for most of the day today due
to various roadwork operations.

These roadworks, which started at 09:00 this morning, may
cause heavy traffic congestion.

The following roads will be affected:

• Inbound fast lane between Plattekloof Road and
  
  Jip de Jager Drive will be closed between 09:00 and 19:00 due to road
  
  resurfacing operations in the fast lane.
• Inbound fast lane after Durban Road inbound
  
  on-ramp to Jip de Jager Drive will be closed from 09:00 to 19:00 for road
  
  marking operations.
• From 09:00, the inbound fast lane between Old
  
  Oak Road and Durban Road inbound off-ramp will be closed off for the N1 third
  
  lane construction.
• The outbound fast lane between Plattekloof Road
  
  and Jip de Jager Drive will be closed until 15:00 due to road resurfacing
  
  operations.
• The outbound auxiliary lane between Plattekloof
  
  Road and Jip de Jager Drive will also be closed until 15:00 due to road resurfacing
  
  operations.
• Durban Road off-ramp’s outbound slow lane will
  
  be closed until 15:00 for the removal of barriers.
