Miss Teen World South Africa 2023 could be coming from Ruyterwacht.
Sanolene Nell (19) from Ruyterwacht completed her matric last year at Goodwood College. She took a leap of faith, entered Miss Teen World SA 2023 and she is now one of the quarter-finalists.
According to Western Cape Regional Executive Committee Representative Joanne Neethling, who is busy with community work in certain areas, Nell needs help from the community of Goodwood and Ruyterwacht to vote for her so that she can make the finals.
Nell said it was always her dream from an early age. “I have always seen beautiful natural females that participated in those competitions and pageants and how they are absolutely confident about themselves. I have always wanted to do modelling but never had the opportunity to participate on big stages”.
‘Never give up on your dream’
Her inspiration quote to all young ladies is that true beauty is how you carry yourself as a young woman. “Never give up on your dream.”
According to Nell, she started showing interest in modelling at the age of ten, when she was in primary school, and she used to participate in modelling shows.
“Beautiful females such as Kim Kardashian who walked the runway sparked my interest in modelling because they are an inspiration to other females across the world.”
Nell said the fact that one female can inspire many more females makes her want to be one of them and inspire the young females in South Africa.
Being a quarter-finalist gave Nell much hope that she stands a chance of becoming a semifinalist and then a finalist. “The thought makes me happy because I can be one of the women that can inspire other women to be more confident in themselves.”
The 19-year-old would appreciate it if the community could vote for her to participate further in the competition by sending (WSAP SANOLENE594) TO 47438.
