Jade Skye, a singer and model, recently travelled abroad to showcase her talents, and in so doing managed to return with several awards.
Jade (17) from Monte Vista attended the International Model and Talent Association (IMTA) in New York City in America two months ago. There she competed in many talent and modelling categories and won three excellence awards for singing, screen test and theatrical headshots.
“I also received three callbacks from companies in the USA,” she told TygerBurger recently.
She was in New York from 13 July to 23 July.
“I had an amazing experience there. For the first two days I had a photoshoot in Times Square and then at Brooklyn Bridge.
“Once IMTA started I participated in nine categories – singing, songwriting, fashion modelling, jean modelling, theatrical headshots, screen test, commercial print, fashion print and TV beauty.
“I received excellence awards for singing, screen test and theatrical headshot.
“On the last day we received a callback sheet. I received callbacks from Water Sound Entertainment, NI Music Group and Jaded Records.
“I have had a meeting with Water Sound Entertainment and I am waiting to hear back from them to see if there is a possibility of working with them,” says Jade.
In the meantime she is preparing to be an opener for a show at Café Roux in November, opening for Tayla Hunter.
