In response to the letter by Marius Niemand (“Taxi’s saai chaos”, TygerBurger, 14 Februarie), the City’s traffic service would like to thank the reader for raising this matter.
Traffic officers face many similar challenges on a daily basis. Please do note that, due to the many demands on our services, it is not always possible to remain static in a particular spot/area.
This specific matter at the said address will be placed on the agenda at next week’s traffic service plan meeting in Area North.
We encourage the public to report any violations to the City’s public emergency communication centre (also known as 107) by dialling 021 480 7700 from a cellphone or 107 from a landline or @pecc on Twitter.
