Bellville South police needs the help of the public to identify a person who sustained fatal injuries on Wednesday 22 January after being hit by a train.
Spokesperson for the Western Cape police WO Joseph Swartbooi said Bellville South police responded to a complaint near Peter Barlow Drive.
“Upon arrival their attention was drawn to the railway tracks where they found the body of an unidentified man who was hit by an oncoming train travelling from Sarepta Station towards Bellville.”
Medical personnel declared the man dead on the scene.
The man was last seen wearing blue jeans and a blue and grey top.
“We appeal to anyone who is missing a relative and can possibly identify the victim to please call the investigating officer detective WO Mevin Rooi on 082 411 2026 or alternatively call Crime Stop on 08600 10111.
