Police are investigating an attempted murder case following the shooting of a bread delivery driver in Kraaifontein on Tuesday morning.
The incident occurred at approximately 09:30 in Basakabini Crescent, Wallacedene.
CCTV footage of the Kraaifontein shooting has been widely shared on social media and crime WhatsApp groups. The footage shows the delivery truck stopping in front of a shop as the driver’s assistants carry crates of bread into the store. As the two men return to the vehicle, two suspects run around a corner with one firing multiple shots through the driver’s window.

Police spokesperson FC van Wyk confirmed that officers responded to reports of the shooting but found the victim had already been taken to the hospital.
“He was delivering bread when five unidentified males approached him and robbed him. In the process, he was shot in the face,” Van Wyk said.
