City Departments Recreation and Parks, Events and the organisers of the 37th Bayhill Premier Cup tournament hosted the official fixture draw at the Banqueting Hall in the Cape Town Civic Centre.
The event was officiated by industry dignitaries such as the Western Cape MEC for Sports and Culture Ricardo Mackenzie, the head coach of Stellenbosch FC, Gavin Hunt, the Vice President of SAFA National, Bennet Bailey, the City’s Mayco Member for Community Services and Health, Francine Higham and many others.
37 years
This year marks the 37th year since Bayhill’s inception and the 32-team tournament comprises the best 12 qualifying teams from the BPC play-offs, five automatic qualifiers from the Western Cape and the balance of 15 teams travelling in from outside the province and abroad.
“Excitement is building for this year’s tournament and with the fixture draw completed, we are gearing up for a thrilling event. The City’s support is not only an investment in the sport, but it is also an investment in the future of our young people and their dreams. The tournament is set to once again bring together fans, sports enthusiasts, and the community. I encourage residents to come out in their numbers to support the teams giving their all to win the Bayhill Premier Cup title,” said Higham.

The popular Bayhill Premier Cup will take place at two venues – Erica Park Stadium, Belhar from 1 to 5 April 2026 and Athlone Stadium on 6 April 2026 for the final and closing ceremony.
