The men are being sought in connection with a bread truck robbery in New Woodlands.

Three alleged thieves stole a bread truck, drove around in it and then stole a safe from it, despite the fact that there was a dashcam filming the whole thing.

This week Lentegeur Police Station released photos of the men, retrieved from the dashcam footage.

According to the station’s spokesperson, Const Navon van Houten, the men stole the truck while it was delivering bread in Neville Lewis Street, New Woodlands, on 14 November last year.

The truck had a safe on board where the delivery staff stored payments in between deliveries.

Van Houten said the men allegedly drove to Kosovo, where they removed the safe from behind the driver’s seat.

Whether the men were aware of the dashcam is unclear, but Van Houten said it was not hidden. The men also appear not have tried to hide their faces because the dashcam was able to capture clear views from multiple angles.

In Kosovo they abandoned the truck and fled in a white Avanza, Van Houten said.

The station has asked anyone who recognises the men to come forward with information.

The investigating officer, Detective Constable Joshua Keur, can be contacted on 066 146 1016.
