Excitement filled the air as the Won Life Pre-Primary School in Fisantekraal proudly hosted its very first family sports day.
The special occasion was made even more memorable by the presence of supportive parents and family members, who came out in large numbers to cheer on the learners.

“It truly made all the difference to have their families there to support them,” says Geraldine Ellish, principal of Won Life.
Energy and enthusiasm
“A total of 180 learners participated in the day’s activities, bringing incredible energy and enthusiasm to the event. From start to finish, the atmosphere was filled with encouragement, laughter, and plenty of smiles.

“Learners eagerly took part in a variety of fun activities, including a colour ball race, sprints, tug of war, and sack races. Each class rotated through the different stations, ensuring that every child had the opportunity to participate in all the events,” Ellish says.
“The morning was a wonderful celebration of teamwork, friendly competition, and strong community spirit. Cheers echoed across the grounds as families and staff united to support the children, creating special memories for everyone involved. The school’s first family sports day was not just a sporting event, but a joyful reminder of the power of togetherness within the school community,” she says.
