A major leadership summit will take place in Cape Town next month as the country faces growing concerns about ethical standards across all sectors of society.
National movement Unashamedly Ethical will host its Transformational Leadership Summit on Wednesday, 4 March at the CAB Conference Centre in Brackenfell. The event aims to help leaders turn their beliefs into real action.
The organisation works to build ethical culture and brave leadership. It runs programmes in schools, with young people, and in company boardrooms across South Africa.
“We exist not to preach ethics — but to activate ethical behaviour,” the organisation states. “Ordinary people can change the direction of the nation as South Africa’s future depends on leaders who show integrity and take responsibility for changing culture in their areas of influence.”
World-renowned speaker
The summit will bring together business leaders, teachers, entrepreneurs, and community leaders for a day focused on practical skills they can use immediately. Patrick McBane from the USA will lead the event. He is known worldwide for teaching leadership tools that work in real situations with families, organisations, and communities.
Attendees can expect to learn more about how to use transformational leadership methods, and tools for making ethical choices under pressure; how to lead with more clarity and courage; ways to build accountability and stronger relationships; and connections with other purpose-driven leaders.
The summit is designed to be interactive rather than just lectures. Organisers want leaders to leave with practical skills, not just inspiration.
The organisation runs leadership development programmes, youth initiatives including one called Tribe, and frameworks to help organisations govern themselves better.
Tickets cost R750 per person that includes refreshments and lunch. With seats filing up quickly and seats are limited. To book, email pippa@unashamedlyethical.com by 20 February.
