Pratibha Singh Baghel, who performed to a sold-out audience during her 2023 Symphony of Love concert with the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra, returns for a one-night-only performance called Encore at Artscape on Saturday 31 January at 20:30.
The concert, produced by Cape Town-based Inner Circle Entertainment, will feature a different format from her previous symphony performance – an acoustic evening showcasing Bollywood classics, ghazals, and contemporary hits.
Traditional instruments
Pratibha will be accompanied by a 10-member ensemble of Indian musicians, performing with traditional instruments including tabla, esraj, harmonium, and bansuri, alongside piano and acoustic guitar.

The musical direction comes from composer Sangeet Haldipur, son of violinist Amar Haldipur, who recently worked on the Symphony of Bansuri concert with the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra.
Since her Cape Town debut, Pratibha has performed in Singapore, Japan, and the UK, including a sold-out concert at London’s Royal Albert Hall in November 2024.
Global appeal
Her collaboration on “Bole Naina – Silences Speak” with poet Gulzar received over 50 million YouTube views within two days of release. She has also performed in stage adaptations of “Mughal-e-Azam” and “Umrao Jaan Ada” and worked with composers including AR Rahman and Salim-Sulaiman.
“Cape Town will always hold a special place in my heart,” Pratibha says. “It was here that I first performed with a full symphony orchestra – a moment that changed everything for me.”
The singer has chosen Cape Town again to launch the next phase of her career and continued work with Inner Circle Entertainment.
Tickets start from R250. Book at Ticketmaster.
