CAPE TOWN – The Western Cape Department of Health and Wellness are requesting the assistance of the public to help trace the family members of an unidentified male patient being treated at Tygerberg Hospital.
The patient, estimated to be 40 years old, was found on the R300 highway and brought to the hospital by an ambulance. He is currently registered as Emergency TBH, JD.
The department says he was found unclothed and has visible bruise marks on his forehead. He was admitted on Sunday 14 December.
At this stage no family members or acquaintances have been identified or come forward, they say.
Anyone who may recognise him or have any information about his family is requested to call the Sister of Ward J7 on 021 938 5011 or the social worker in charge on 021 938 5684. The assistance in helping to reunite the patient with his loved ones, will be sincerely appreciated, the department says.
