Capetonians have been having Christmas plays, holiday programmes and several other festive events this December in the build-up to Christmas. Here are some galleries of what everyone has been up to across the city.
Holiday programmes
Neighbourhood watches and community organisations have been keeping children safe while their parents are finishing off their last few weeks of work.

Here the Portland Neighbourhood Watch in Mitchells Plain hosted several days of trauma-informed fun and games to help children find spaces to have good, clean fun.

Festive lights
Mitchell’s Plain also had it’s own Switching on of the festive lights event earlier in December.

Christmas carols
Carolers have been out in full swing across the City. Here the Colorado Park Residents and Ratepayers Association host a carol service at the Colorado Skatepark. Prayers of protection were also offered for residents, police, Law enforcement, families affected by crime and those who have lost loved ones.

Nativities
Several churches put up nativity scenes or hosted Christmas plays. Here is a snapshot of a few of them.
