Table Mountain has once again been nominated for Africa’s Leading Tourist Attraction at the prestigious World Travel Awards 2026. Voters have until Friday 17 July to cast their votes and help the iconic landmark secure another title.
Often described as the travel industry’s version of the Oscars, the World Travel Awards recognise excellence across the global travel, tourism and hospitality sectors and have done so for the past 33 years.
The iconic Cape Town landmark has already claimed the title five times in 2014, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 and is now hoping to add another win to its record this year.
Wahida Parker, managing director of Table Mountain Aerial Cableway, said this nomination is a proud moment for Cape Town and South Africa.
“Table Mountain is more than a landmark. It is a symbol of our natural heritage and a world-class attraction that continues to inspire visitors from across the globe. Every vote is an opportunity to show the world what this destination means to us.”
