HUMANSDORP – A possible sinkhole has forced lane closures on the R102 next to Boskloof in Humansdorp, prompting the Provincial Department of Roads to dispatch resources to the scene as a matter of urgency.
The Kouga Municipality has urged motorists to exercise caution when travelling through the affected area and to adhere to all temporary traffic control measures.
According to the municipality, the Provincial Department of Roads has been informed of the defect and has indicated that resources are being dispatched to attend to the matter.
“The municipality will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates should further developments arise,” the municipality said.
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused and appreciate the public’s patience and cooperation.”
