DESPATCH – SAPS Despatch have opened a case of murder following the fatal shooting of a 36-year-old female victim in Despatch.

According to SAPS spokesperson Captain André Beetge, on Sunday evening, 24 May, at about 21:45, SAPS Despatch was alerted to a murder at a house in Mawawa Street, Kings Town, Despatch.

“It is alleged that the victim, Mandilakhe Wendy Kula (39), was returning home and stopped at the front gate of her home,” he said. “When she exited her vehicle to open the gate, she was shot several times in the head by an unknown suspect/s and passed away at the scene.”

Beetge added that a murder case was opened and is being investigated by SAPS Despatch.
