Pow WoW (emPowered Women of Wisdom) is back to host a Women’s Day event in August, in partnership with Lugar Bellisimo and Sanlam.
It’s been three years since the Covid-19 pandemic hit and much has changed since, although a lot has also remained the same. Many lessons have been learnt and women have proved to be at the forefront of the home, family, education and to a large decree at the forefront of the economy.
This forefront role means everything except self-care is in front; the financial well-being of women is being neglected.
As women who recognise the strength of every woman in their own right, Pow WoW is hosting an all-female brunch in a safe space to acknowledge women’s contributions to the community and to one another.
The group invites women to celebrate and recognise the amazing role they play this August to socialise, support and network as they strive to improve financial wellness in tough economic times.
Female entrepreneurs, including youth, will exhibit their businesses and have goods on sale, forming part of increasing networking opportunities and the business footprint.
Please attend this event, buy a ticket, make it known to relevant others in the broader community and please bring non-perishable food items along to be donated to RIWA, a local NPO established in 1989 managed by women who feed the poor and needy weekly.
The programme will include a financial expert as guest speaker, entertainment, lucky draw prizes, an exhibition, dessert and most of all value in building community among the women across cultures in our community.
