Wellington Prep Gr 7 learner long-jump champ

Quade Ramus (12), a Grade 7 learner at Wellington Preparatory School and College is the boys u-13 South African long-jump champion. From 19 to 21 March he took part in the South African Primary Schools Athletics Championship, held in Pietermaritzburg. At this sports gathering he won a gold medal, with a distance of 6,16 m, the South African record being 6,18 m. At the Boland athletics championship he also won a gold medal in long jump. Quade further broke the Boland record, which was at 5,97 m with his jump of 6,04 m. At the Western Province championships he also won a silver medal.
