After serving for 21 years in the South African Police Service WO Nceba Vanqa retired at the end of March. He joined the service on 27 May 2002 and received training at the police academy in Graaff-Reinet in the Eastern Cape. Vanqa worked at Paarl Police Station for two years, before being transferred to Mbekweni, where he served the rest of his career. “I worked as social-crime prevention officer, reservist coordinator, Crime Prevention Forum Secretary, Spiritual Crime Prevention, Youth Desk Coordinator and as a Communications Officer,” he said. “I would like to thank the community of Mbekweni and stakeholders for all these years we worked together nicely.”
