I am extremely disappointed with both the service of the Drakenstein Municipality’s customer care as well as their recycling services.
For the past weeks leading up to and then as well as after Christmas, I have not been receiving a recycling bag.
On phoning the municipality after Christmas as to enquire about this, I was transferred to a lady who simply said: We do deliver them!
The more I tried to explain that in the past my recycling bag was always thrown over my garden wall, the more she said: We do deliver them. And not in a friendly tone at all.
Then, soon after the new year, I was fortunate enough to see the municipal worker who was dealing out the recycling bags in my neighbourhood. Before he reached my house he turned around and was leaving. When I asked him why am I not getting a bag, he simply answered: I leave it in your neighbours yard!
This is completely confusing and irritating, as I am an avid recycler.
This is definitely not service with excellence, as the municipality likes to advertise itself.
