The Farm Grocer
The Farm Grocer at the Laborie Wine Estate provides quality, locally sourced, seasonal and home-made products. Guests can expect fresh seasonal produce, pasture-raised meat, fresh dairy products, traditionally made cheeses and charcuterie, something for the sweet tooth, beautiful homeware, stoep products and meals, plus all the extras to make meals sing.
The Farm Grocer also boasts a fantastic curated selection of the best locally produced wines from the Groot Drakenstein area. We believe in supporting local farmers and artisans by showcasing the very best produce in our community.
The Farm Grocer is now also home to The Boer and Butcher’s second home in Paarl.
Weddings and conferencing
Receptions, conferences, boardrooms or workshops, Laborie Estate’s spaces can be adapted to the occasion.
The large Champagne Cellar venue and historic Manor House meeting rooms are well equipped while the outdoor event spaces provide an inspirational setting for your event. The Champagne Cellar can accommodate 120 guests depending on seating style and arrangement.

Picnics
The combination of beautiful gardens, sweeping views over the vineyards, delicious seasonal food and great wines have made Laborie picnics a Cape Winelands favourite. Our classic picnic experience invites you to lay down your blanket, relax in the shade and enjoy a leisurely afternoon with family and friends. Our sunset picnics allow guests to make the most of the long and balmy summer evenings that Paarl is well known for.
Enjoy a beautifully packed picnic box filled with delicious treats and seasonal delights. Pop in at our Farm Grocer to refill your basket or to add something extra. Take in the beautiful views from our lush lawns or book one of our dedicated picnic spots within the vineyards for that unique Winelands experience.
Our picnics are open from Wednesday to Sunday.
Suzanne
Suzanne is the new and exciting offering at Laborie Estate. Named after the wife of Laborie’s first owner, Suzanne is a welcoming and relaxing space serving breakfast bites, easy lunches, tapas, and beautiful cocktails. A full bar is also available. Join friends and family, sit back and relax, and enjoy this beautiful space in the heart of the winelands.
Suzanne Taillefert was a renowned French Huguenot winemaker from Champagne and Laborie’s first “Lady of the House”(1691).
During her time on the estate, she transformed her hatter husband into a bona fide winemaker and ensured that Laborie became a must-visit for travellers.
Stoep
Stoep takes great pride in using the best local, sustainable and seasonal ingredients to present our guests with small sharing plates and generous mains which are complemented by a fantastic wine list representing some of the most exciting wines of the Drakenstein region.
Working with local farmers and artisans, Chef Melissa and our team strive to deliver an exceptional dining experience using hand-harvested produce, grass-fed beef, pasture-reared eggs, and sustainable fish. Our chef celebrates the fresh produce sourced from the surrounding countryside.

Accommodation
Laborie Wine Estate boasts luxury accommodation that can accommodate up to 38 guests in double rooms. The latest addition to our accommodation is our Villa. The Villa is a beautiful 1920s thatched roof house on the edge of the farm on the main road that’s been recently renovated. The house has three Deluxe suites, three Luxury suites, communal areas, a pool.
Wine tasting
Our Tasting Room is located in our historic Manor House, where you can enjoy a curated wine-tasting experience. Cosy up inside or relax on the stoep that overlooks the werf area as you enjoy the best of Laborie Wines. Delicious charcuterie and cheese platters are available to order.
Wine purchases can also be made from the Tasting Room.
