This year the Summer Wines Festival will take place at Country Grand in Franschhoek on Saturday 4 March from 11:00 to 16:00 followed by an after-party with a wine and cocktail bar and live music.
Estates that will be showcasing their favourite summer wines include Anthonij Rupert Wines, Boekenhoutskloof, Haute Cabriere, Holden Manz, Le Motte, Leopard’s Leap, Lynx Wines, Mont Rochelle, Nederburg, Rupert & Rothschild, Terra Del Capo and Warwick.
Apart from the opportunity to taste a range of wines and cap classiques from the 13 different producers, festival goers will also be able to purchase a range of food offerings from the Country Grand menu, including salads, pizzas, pastas and burgers, and chill out to live music from the very popular and much in-demand ShenFM.
And while the wine tastings closes at 16:00, the wine bar will stay open ‘till late so that guests can watch the sun go down while sipping on a cocktail and chilling to some relaxed vibes from ShenFM.
ShenFM will entertain guests with his eclectic mix of beats, uptempo, yet still peaceful, dance-able, but not overpowering music. You can also look forward to his original remixes of your favourite songs in afro and tropical house feels.
The dress theme is “All White in Country Chic”.
Tickets for the Summer Wines Festival cost R280 per person and includes a souvenir glass and a tasting from each winery.
