Another tourist in Franschhoek was scammed at a Nedbank ATM last weekend.
The incident took place on Sunday at about 15:00. After the tourist was scammed, the scammers fled in a waiting parked car and they drove in the direction of Paarl.
Kurt Muske, a private security consultant gave the information through to the police.
I high speed chase then took place between security guards and the police, leading to the alleged scammer being apprehended near Paarl.
The victim however did not lay a charge about the scamming incident with the police, so the alleged perpetrators were released.
