The South African Society of Crop Production (SASCP) invites undergraduate and postgraduate students to apply for the bursary award for the 2022 academic year.

Bursaries will be awarded for studies within the Crop Production field of study (Crop Science or Agronomy), at a recognised university in South Africa.

An applicant must be a South African citizen and must be enrolled as in a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate crop science or agronomy degree. Postgraduate students must have achieved a minimum average of 60% in their previous university academic year.

To apply, applicants must include clear copies of the compulsory supporting documentation along with the completed application form. The supporting documents are a certified copy of ID; certified copy of matric certificate (undergraduate applicants) or recent tertiary record (postgraduate applicants); proof of registration for the 2022 academic year; a brief statement by undergraduate applications of why they are interested in studying crop production (maximum 50 words); postgraduate applications must include the title of their research topic and objectives; and two signed reference letters with references’ contact details to support applications.
