ROAD WARRIORS. The winner of Sunday’s Winelands Cycle Race of 112 km from Wellington to Malmesbury and back was Jaco Venter, who finished in 2:42.07 despite the extreme heat. Hot on his heels was Johann Trotzky (2:42:08), who was ahead when he fell just before the finish and was overtaken by Venter. Third was Christiaan Janse van Rensburg in 2:42:08.
