The Winelands Cycle Race will take place on Sunday (28 January).
The day’s activities start at Huguenot Primary School in General Hertzog Avenue at 05:30 with registration, and the races will end there by 13:00.
Regrettably there will be traffic and parking restrictions in the vicinity of the school and the main routes out of Wellington. Piet Retief Street will be partially closed with the southbound lanes operating as a two-way road. Avoid the area from 07:00 to 14:00. General Hertzog Boulevard will also be partially closed from 04:00 to 14:00.
Drakenstein Municipality’s traffic department and Paarl Rotary marshals will regulate traffic through the various stages of Sunday morning’s races. The race organisers apologise for any temporary inconvenience caused in your neighbourhood and will try to limit disruption as far as possible.
The event is geared towards having good, safe fun and serving a good cause. All proceeds from the race will be channelled to community development projects through the Rotary Club of Paarl.
We thank you for your patience and understanding. Detailed information is available on www.winelandscyclerace.co.za.
