Paarl police patrol finds hijacked truck on farm

Four suspects from Paarl East appeared in the Paarl Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 28 June on charges of possession of stolen property, after they were arrested on a farm in the Du Toits Kloof Pass. The suspects were arrested after being spotted by Paarl police members patrolling the area while offloading liquor from a truck. A total of 1 904 cases of beer were found on the scene. After further investigation it was discovered the truck had been hijacked on 25 June in Bellville. The suspects have been released and are to reappear in court in September.
