Come and join Paarl parkrun for their sixth birthday party on 9 April. The theme for the day will be blue – in support of Autism Awareness Month.
For the past six years the parkrun in Paarl has become one of the biggest and most successful in the Western Cape. Each Saturday morning at precisely 08:00 approximately 350 participants (currently) set off to walk or run a timed distance of 5 km.
The parkrun is not a race but is an opportunity to test your time each week on this distance, or otherwise just to stroll the beautiful Paarl Arboretum while meeting new people.
Young and old are invited to come and enjoy the free walk/run and enjoy some cupcakes afterwards to celebrate their sixth birthday in true party style.
Paarl parkrun starts at 08:00 every Saturday – and is hosted every weekend – come rain or sunshine, but entrants are asked to be there ten minutes before the start to listen to the announcements.
All you have to do beforehand is register on www.parkrun.co.za and print your barcode to track your progress at each parkrun, no matter where in the country or world you take part.
