Wear a fun costume, mask and perhaps do some face painting on Saturday 29 October at the Dirtopia Trail Centre at Muratie Wine Estate near Stellenbosch and have an unforgettable Halloween evening!
This event offers two distances: a 5 km (for kids & walkers welcome!) and a 10 km that will circle a bit further in the enchanted Muratie forest. You can choose if you want to be timed for results or not. Photo sport will be present to capture the memories on the routes.
The Halloween Forest Night Run first took place in 2013, and if you have never been you must experience Muratie’s single-track in the dark and test your nerves with a workout on contour trails, while dodging the ghosts…
Live music from local artists MixTape band will be entertaining afterwards, when everyone gathers for wonderful meals from Muratie’s farm kitchen and excellent wine, beers and coffee.
A face painter will be on standby before the run, and when runners return to the finish line where all finishers receive a medal and free Coke. Registration Saturday starts from 18:00 near the start line and the long distance from 19:30 after sunset with the shorter distance at 19.45. All runners must wear a light on their head . . . its dark out there!
