A 34-year-old man was shot dead in his face in Mbekweni on Tuesday.
Mbekweni police spokesperson WO Nceba Vanqa said the incident happened in Ubisi Street at 21:00. “The police got a call from somebody in the community reporting a shooting incident.
“On arrival they found the dead man lying on the ground with a bullet wound to his face. It is unknown what circumstances led to the shooting,” Vanqa said.
The man was identified as Lubabalo Skhwatsha from A Block in Mbekweni. The suspect(s) are unknown and a murder case is being investigated.
