The death of a 59-year-old man found on Dal Josaphat Road on Sunday is being investigated by Paarl police.
Police spokesperson Capt Louise du Plessis says an inquest has been opened into the death of Wynand Ross.
“[His] body was found by the public in a field in the Bo Dal Josaphat area on Sunday 5 February at about 17:00. The deceased had no visible injuries and the cause of death is yet to be determined.”
Du Plessis added that the matter will be further investigated by the Paarl East Detectives.
