Five learners of Paarl Girls’ High School, who participated in the Nedbank Essay Competition, were in the Top 30 candidates in the Western Cape. Caltha Jacobs (left) and Nina-Marie Anker are two of 12 participants who received a three-year BCom-degree bursary at any university in South Africa. These girls portrayed skills in research, the expression of their opinion and answering unprepared questions about the economic impact of the minimum wage and completed this task with excellence.
