Paarl, Wellington and Stellenbosch Junior Town Councils function under the auspices of the Western Cape Youth Council, who hosted the second combined leadership seminar on 13 October at the beautiful clubhouse of Paarl Boys’ High School. Johan Beukes, Yeki Mosomothane and Manie Botha facilitated the afternoon, with Andriëtte de la Harpe and Triveno Smith sharing their journeys of hope. The theme for the afternoon was Leadership from a Paradigm of Hope, addressing legacies from the past, poverty, homelessness and engaging in conversation with one another. The Western Cape Youth Council aim to encourage the youth to find power in applied knowledge and take action, making a tangible difference in their communities.
