The annual CANSA Relay For Life takes place on 25 and 26 February at Boy Louw Sports fields.
The Relay For Life is a fun, overnight team event that raises awareness of cancer, aims to bring hope to cancer survivors and raise funds for fighting the disease.
Teams set up camp around the track. Relay For Life opens with a lap of honour of cancer survivors. After sunset, candles are lit in luminaria bags all around the track, with a photo or message in memory of someone who has lost their fight against the disease.
Throughout the evening there will be entertainment, fun and lots to eat on sale. The event starts at 18:00. Teams can still enter at R750 per team. Visitors pay R20 (R10 for children) at the gate. For more details contact Louise Goslett on 072 782 9704.
