More good news for South African consumers is another predicted drop in the fuel prices for February.

The Central Energy Fund this week said that the price of fuel is expected to decrease due to a huge drop in the international product prices for petroleum, determined by global oil movements. This is being supported by a stronger rand versus the US dollar.

The expected decreases are: Petrol 93 and 95 will drop by 87 cents per litre, diesel 0,05% will drop by R1,42 per litre, diesel 0,005% will drop by R1,58 per litre and paraffin will drop by R1,12 per litre

Global oil prices have dropped below US$80 (R1 361,39) a barrel so far in January, ending last week over 8% lower.
