Free shoes for cross-country runners

Foot Gear’s head office in Durbanville recently donated running shoes to twelve learners of Desmond Mpilo Tutu High School. These learners participate in cross-country events and in spite of running barefoot, they still managed to perform in their respective events. These shoes will now enable them to perform at a much higher level than before. With the learners is (in front) Bongani Buti (coach) and Thembelani Zola and Mini Nobenzeni are among the athletes.Photo: Devidean Moses
