As the Dal Josaphat complainant, I just wanted to give feedback on the article that was posted, “Dal Josafat se mense gefaal” published in Paarl Post, 6 April 2023.
After it was published, nothing has improved and the situation remains the same. There’s been no response from Drakenstein Municipality and we are really fed up with the way Dal Josaphat looks after the municipality had already increased the rates for the financial year. Yet we must pay more rates! I’ve requested answers from the ward councillor Mr Felix, but to no avail either. The last option is to report the matter to the City of Cape Town. Thank you for the article and effort to publish it. It’s just so disrespectful of the municipality, which is stealing from our residents, who are forced to pay for services they don’t receive.
Thank you for all your help and support in this matter. I hope improvements will follow, otherwise we as residents must exercise other options to receive the services we pay for.
