SUSPECTS SENTENCED FOR HOUSE ROBBERY
After a lengthy trial of four years, Thobela Rasman and Siseko Ntloko were sentenced to direct imprisonment of eleven years each for a house robbery that had occurred in 2019. The suspects had gained access to a residence in Main Road, Northern Paarl, at approximately 04:50 and held the occupants of the residence up with knives whilst stealing various valuables. The suspects were apprehended after investigation but pleaded not guilty to the charges. The Paarl police would like to thank the complainants for their patience with the justice system and their sacrifices to attend the trial, with the result of bringing the perpetrators to justice.

WANTED FOR RAPE
Paarl police’s unit for family violence, child protection and sexual offences (FCS) is seeking the assistance of the public in tracking down Jacques Stoffels who was found guilty on a charge of rape. A warrant for his arrest was issued after his abandoned his court appearance for sentencing.
