Paarl Boys’ High’s first cricket team beat Paarl Gimnasium in the regional finals of the SA20 cricket schools tournament. Paarl Boys’ High won the toss and batted first. Paarl Boys’ High made 145/7 in 20 overs. Brent Goosen 41, Marco Cato 26 and Pieter Gildenhuys 25. Paarl Gimnasium made 136 all out. Boishaai’s best bowlers where AB Jacobs 4 overs 4/13, Ra-eez Isaacs 4 overs 3/24 and Pieter Gildenhuys 4 overs 2/30. Paarl Boys’ High won by 9 runs. Both teams will however be going through to the second phase of this nationwide round of the tournament..Foto:
