Michael Semer, a learner at Paarl Boys’ High, recently attended the WP JKA Karate Championship on 25 March at Maties Tygerberg Sports Centre. He took part in the boys’ u-16 age group elite brown / black belts category. Michael obtained gold in kata and bronze in kumite. He has also been included in the Western Cape team to attend the JKA Karate SA championship in Johannesburg from 28 to 29 July.
