On Tuesday 30 May Child Welfare SA Wellington in collaboration with Mbekweni police and Badisa Wellington held a peaceful march to raise awareness and to blow the whistle against child abuse. Role players such as Child Welfare SA Paarl, DSD Paarl, Traffic Department, Fire Brigade and various community members took part in this march. Various child protection programmes were conducted from 31 May at Windmeul Primary, 1 June at Dal Josaphat Primary, and 5 June a silent march was held, during which balloons will be released in memory of all the victims of child abuse.Photo: Supplied
