Community-focused betting operator Hollywoodbets has opened applications for bursaries to South African youth who need assistance in fulfilling their career dreams through their The Future is Bright bursary project.
Through this campaign Hollywoodbets hopes to bridge the gap between high school and making many more South Africans employable as well as helping create growth and educational development for individuals who form part of the future of the economy.
“Hollywoodbets is excited to be running The Future is Bright bursary programme for the third year now in a row,” says Sandisiwe Bhengu, Hollywoodbets’ Commercial Manager.
“Recent statistics have shown an extremely high unemployment rate for the youth in South Africa, so we want to create positive change with this investment.
“We have already had 286 students awarded bursaries through the programme and look forward to offering this opportunity to more candidates.”
Applications are now open to students who need assistance with registration, tuition and unpaid university fees.
The bursary, which covers different fields of study, includes Computer Science, Supply Chain and Logistics, Business Management, Finance, Human Resources, Marketing, Graphic Design and Media and Communications.
This bursary application is for funding for the 2022 academic year only and closes on 31 October.
Subsequent funding for additional academic years will need to be applied and approved when the bursary applications open for those academic years.
