The Rotary Club of Paarl is launching an independent art auction, Artists for Artists, which will take place on Sunday 17 March at 11:00 at The Old Tannery on the outskirts of Wellington. Bids will also be accepted online. The proceeds will go towards promoting the arts, and in support of local art students from disadvantaged communities.

Artists were very excited to learn this auction was focused on the arts, rather than other areas that are traditionally supported by charity auctions. More than 35 well-known artists have provided more than 100 quality works that will be auctioned live, online, as well as on silent auction at the venue.

Art remains an expression of creativity acting as a powerful social catalyst for improving quality of life. Artists for Artists aims to make a tangible contribution to developing creative talent that addresses social challenges in a constructive manner.

Bring the whole family to the Old Tannery at Hermon Road, and enjoy a variety of food and drinks at its bistro, craft brewery and coffee shop.

Other attractions include wine tasting, live music and a vintage car collection.

The full catalogue is available on https://oldjwauctioneers.com. Bids are accepted online. For enquiries, contact Deon Erasmus on 082 552 3319.
