A sweltering weekend in the Western Cape greeted riders from across the country for the opening round of the provincial and national downhill series of 2022, which was held in Paarl. Sebastian Flynn (9) a Grade 4 learner at the Green School in Simondium took first place in the Nipper boys section. Xavi Gomes (13), a Grade 8 learner also of the Green School, took second place in the Nationals and first place in the Western Province Junior Boys Division.
