This weekend you can look forward to entertainment from Gerald Clark and The Hugo Veldsman Trio at the Bôrdienghuis Theatre in Wellington.

Sama-nominated singer-songwriter Gerald Clark will perform there on Friday 1 April at 19:00. Join him for a stripped-down, heartfelt, intimate experience that showcases his ability to tell a story with his blues and love songs. Clark will be joined by Peter Hoven from Ses Snare on guitar and vocals.Tickets cost R150 per person.

On Saturday 2 April, at 19:00, The Hugo Veldsman Trio, consisting of Hugo Veldsman on vocals and guitars, Gustav Franzsen on bass and Johan Pretorius on drums, will be on stage.

Veldsman is a professional musician who studied classical guitar at Stellenbosch University. He has released a critically acclaimed full-length album and numerous subsequent singles.

The genre of his originals is largely folk-rock, but a typical set would also include blues, rock and even pop covers.

Blackwood Wendy consisting of the Hugo Veldsman Trio with the added songwriting skills of Adriaan Thiart, who also sings and plays acoustic guitar will also perform. Veldsman plays electric lapsteel and electric guitar in the band Blackwood Wendy. Tickets cost R100 pp. Tickets for both shows can be booked with Jeanine on 061 156 5386.
