Motor van R18 000: ’n Splinternuwe motor ter waarde van R18 000 het baie aandag getrek toe dit op ’n plaas in Agter-Paarl aangekom het. Dit is ’n Lincoln, een van Amerika se prestige motors wat deur ’n perdeteler van Douglas ingevoer is. Hy het die motor uit Amerika gebring saam met ’n aantal resiesperde. Die spierwit motor met sy wit bekleedsel het oral aandag getrek. Die eienaar het met die motor van die dokke in Kaapstad na familie in Agter-Paarl gereis en daarvandaan verder na Douglas waar hy die teler van renperde is. Paarl spog darem met ’n Jaguar van R12 500 wat aan ’n Paarlse boer behoort.

Chiropractors given the green light: The Chiropractors’ Act of 1971 is now being implemented and 165 people in South Africa may practise as chiropractors. The Chiropractic Association of South Africa is recognised by the Government which formerly entertained doubts about this profession but which has now been given the green light.
