Four young men of Paarl have been chosen to take part in soccer trials which take place later this year in Spain. Harrison Warner (Bridge House Gr 11), Jack Wells (Bridge House Gr 11), Dillon Rudolph (HS Laborie Gr 12) and William Cumpsty (Paarl Boys’ High) will jet off to Madrid in Spain in an effort by soccer scouting agencies to identify talented football players and to provide these players with opportunities at professional footballs clubs both in Africa and abroad. These trials will serve as an opportunity for each player to showcase their talent in front of a wide range of top scouts, directors of football and coaches in the hope of signing a professional contract at their respective clubs. These for young soccer stars all play for the Paarl Rock Academy in Paarl under the coaching of Aidan Litchfield. Photo: Lise Beyers
