The Mbekweni Community Sport Centre’s male netball team recently won a silver medal at the Western Cape Twizza finals held at the Boy Louw Sport fields. They played against a team from Cape Town and the score was 19-12. Lwanda Malanga was awarded best centre court and Anele Oosthuizen, best defender. According to their coach, Asiphe Sithoza, the team has been playing since 2018 and they have achieved many victories since then. She said last year they were crowned the national champs. The Mbekweni Community Sport Centre also have women’s teams. Those interested in joining the club can contact them on 021 868 3387. Registration is free.
